Title: "Simply Put" or Effective Writing, Speaking, and Human Relations

Description: This workshop for professionals and leader-managers focuses on tools, techniques and skills that simplify and refine writing and speaking. It also focuses on keys to effective relationships with people. The steps in the writing process are explained. Knowing the steps in the writing process makes writing easier, the process becomes more understandable, leading to more effective documents and presentations. The workshop includes techniques to improve ideas, techniques that assist in making “starting to write” easier, thus simplifying the effort, making it easier and accomplished in less time. The integration of the writing process with other management processes is illustrated and experienced. Practical exercises, group and team discussions occur throughout the workshop.

The negotiating process, and its impact on developing relationships are highlighted. Skills to influence people are included. Methods to open communications, and roadblocks that stop communications are illustrated. Participants will apply leadership performance criteria to their own and colleagues’ performance, and reward accordingly. Team presentations allow participants to review and summarize lessons learned througout the workshop.
